Doesn't the name "Wilderness Rendezvous" sound wonderful? Well this RV Park is nothing more than a flat gravel parking lot on the side of a hill. No attempt at grass or trees. The registration is a touch screen computer kiosk at one of the restrooms. No web site. I guess there is nothing they could show on the web site that would look nice so they opted to not have one. There were about 30 or so RV's parked here, probably long term oil or gas company workers. So they are not hurting for business. I would not stay here. I would say $22-25 a night would be a decent value for this place, but not $38. There is a city park in Meeker with only two elect hookups for $15.

This is a beautiful open campground. There are great views of a wildflower covered meadow to the south west. Since the elevation is 9500' you don't need to worry about shade, unless you are tenting. There are nice tent site with shade. The only down side to the campground is the out of level campsites. Several of the sites are long enough for a 40' motorhome. You will have to work to level your RV though! Keep in mind this is a National Forest campgrounds. There is no water, electric or sewer connections. There is a hand pump for well water.

A really nice CG on the Cache la Poudre river. Most campsites are just a few steps away from the river. Many sites are well separated from the others. All the back-in sites are large, most are fine for 40' rigs. All sites are level and have nice tent pads. There are several tent only sites, some right next to the river. The few pull thru sites are for 25' or smaller rigs. All the NF campgrounds along this 15 mile stretch of Cache la Poudre river have nice level gravel campsites. Kelly Flats CG does not take reservations. Really nice for those of us who can arrive on a Wednesday and plan on staying through the weekend, but don't know the area and which campsites are nice. In the peak summer period, these CG's fill up on weekends. So, if you know exactly which campground and which campsite you want to stay in, you can make reservations in four other CG's along the river. Note: This is a NF CG, no water, elect or sewer hookups. Just a nice pretty place to spend a few days.

This is a nice clean campground. Widely spaced campsites with great views of Lake Wolford and the the surrounding mountains and countryside. Good 30amp power and 4 bars of Verizon Cell phone service. No shower in bathrooms. The reasons I only gave the CG a 6 rating: 1. The sites are not level. You need to level your rig both front to rear and side to side. 2. The electric Posts are at the far end of campsites. You will most likely need an extension cord to reach the power. The campsites are electric only. No water or sewer. There is an easy to access dump at the entrance with good fresh water. This is the nicest CG for miles around. We stayed here in a 40' motorhome and would stay here again. There is a RV Park in Kremmling, but it is a "RV Park". Tight crowed sites. See other review for info.

This is a very nice city operated campground with full hookups and very good shade. The sites have plenty of room although some sites back to back, i.e. one person can pull thru and the other backs in to your rear bumper. Generally the park is not full so this is usually not a problem. Interior roads are a combination of paved and gravel. The RV sites are good gravel, level sites. Very good 50 amp power and good water. The entire park is covered with grass which the city keeps mowed. Wi-Fi signal is very strong and free. This is a great place to stay to visit the Texas hill country area around Mason, Texas. There is a bat cave about 10 miles away where you can view the clouds of bats leaving during the summer evenings.

This is a very nice, new (built in spring 2008), city operated RV Park. All RV sites are level concrete pads with full hookups and cable TV. The rates are $21 for Monday-Thursday and $25 for weekends. Weekly & monthly rates are available. The directions given earlier are incomplete! From the intersection of Hwy's 16 & 190 go east on hwy 190, 1.1 miles to County Road 104 and turn north. The RV Park & Golf Course are about 1/2 mile down the road. There is a sign at the intersection of 190 & CR 104. NOTE: Do NOT turn at CR 102 3/4 mile from hwy 190 & 16!! There is a small green sign pointing to the golf course here, but the road goes over a very rough and steep railroad crossing.

When you are going east or west across I-10 across the southern park of Texas don’t overlook a little slower and very interesting drive on Hwy 90 from Van Horn to San Antonio. Along this route you will find Seminole State Park and Historic site about 40 miles west of Del Rio. This historic park is a combination of 4000 year old pictographic rock painting tours and recent (1880’s) railroad history. Go to the web site for more info on the history. On to the camping facilities, there are 31 sites; about 22 have water and elect, a dump station on site, with a nice bathhouse with hot water showers. There is good Wi-Fi from most of the campsites, but almost no cell phone coverage. There are good tent camp sites as well as sites for large RV. Generally you don’t need reservations. It will be very warm (hot?) here in May-Sept, but the rest of the year is nice.

Beautiful RV Park. All sites, except about 10 pullthru sites, are on the Nueces River (actually a small lake here) under beautiful live oak trees. Lots of open grassy areas and a nature trail with plaques identifying local trees and bushes. A great park for adults, not much for kids to do if they need playgrounds and entertainment. On the other hand if the kids want to run, play, fish, or throw Frisbees then there is lots of space for that. We had very good free WiFi and we were about 75 yards from the pavilion. All sites have cable tv, 50 & 30 amp and water & sewer.

DO NOT pay to use the RV Parks Wi-Fi service provided by a rv park wifi provider. It is overpriced and does not work well. It is the worst Wi-Fi service I have ever paid for. Many RV Parks free Wi-Fi service works better. We will not use the Wi-Fi service here again, nor will we ever use a Wi-Fi service provided by them in another RV park. The Nightly rate of $20 is based on the monthly rate of $610. Daily rate is $40 to $52. In spite of the really poor Wi-Fi, Blazing Star is the nicest, although the most expensive RV Park in San Antonio. The swimming pool is large, well maintained and heated all winter. The park grounds are very nice and well maintained. Staff is helpful and friendly. We stayed here for 2 months in 2007, 4 months in 2008/9 and will return again in 2009/10.

This is a nice park not far off of I-64, especially for $20/night, 50amp, FHU. This is a good RV park to stay at to visit the many attractions in the Daniel Boone NF. We were in a pull thru and connected to the Wi-Fi with our external Wi-Fi adapter on our laptop. An internal adapter probably won't connect (not unusual for RV parks). We had planned on staying in the Twin Knobs CG in Daniel Boone National Forest, near by this RV park, until we stopped by the NF visitor center and found out they only had back in sites. The outpost is less expensive than the NF CG. The NF wants $23 for elect only sites, and they may be 30amp or 20 amp.

About 20 sites front on the ocean with great views, stay in these if you can, they fill up weekends in July/Aug. The sites are fairly close together, but are far enough apart so you CAN open your slides and awning w/o hitting your neighbor. The CG is very busy on July/Aug weekends. Good free WiFi access.

A beautiful campground with great views of river and mountains. Owners on site, and very friendly and helpful. The campsites are large and well separated from the neighboring site. Free WiFi available from many campsites or at the office. This is the best place to stay for access to or from the ferry at Port aux Basques. We spent a very enjoyable week here.

A nice RV Park close to the town of Rocky Harbor, with easy access to many of the attractions in the northern part of Gros Morne National Park. With the Good Sam club discount we paid $23.40 a night for full hookups and free WiFi. The National Park CG is $25 and NO hookups!! There are 3 separate areas to the RV Park: 1. For smaller rigs, under 30 feet and tents, private “L” shaped sites with trees on 3 sides. 2. A gravel parking area with full hookups where they usually put large groups or caravans 3. Nice back in sites by the office where we stayed. We would stay here again.

Your best choice for visiting the southern part of Gros Morne National Park. Water’s Edge is only $20/night. The National Park Campgrounds are $25.40 plus $7.80 per person daily entrance fee (per person) for nothing except a place to camp buried in dense trees and bugs. All of Water’s Edge sites are 20 feet from the waters edge with a beautiful view of the south arm of Bonne Bay. Back your trailer in and your back window is overlooking the water, pull your motor home in and your front window has the same view. There is some highway noise as the campsites are about 50 feet from the highway, but the highway does not have a lot of traffic. There are 3 or 4 tent sites on a grassy area for $15 as well. No dump station though. Wi-Fi available at library in town.

Almost all campsites are crammed into the trees. Only a few sites are large enough to park a 30' RV in and open the slides. Because of dense trees there are lots of bugs. If you want privacy though, this is the place to go. You can't see into most campsites but that means you can only see about 10' from your tent/RV to where the trees are. Also you pay almost $26 a night, plus you have to pay $7.80 per person entrance fee. One of the private RV parks in town are cheaper and offer full hookups & free Wi-Fi. The only reason I could see for staying here is if you want the privacy offered by staying in the dense trees.

A great RV park inside the city of St. John's. This is a city park staffed by part time young people in the office. DON'T expect them to be knowledgeable about parking your rig!!. There are 30 large pull-thru full hook up sites, about 80' long and 30'-35' wide The parking pads are level gravel with beautiful grass to sit outside on. There is good WiFi. We were close to WiFi antenna so had very good signal. The pull-thru sites are in an open area. There are other back-in sites which are all in the trees with good privacy. These may be hard to get large rigs into. Some have full hook up, others water & elect only. There are also no-hookup sites in the trees as well. Many of theses sites are great for tents. We saw lots of tents. Caravans use this park so the pull-thru sites will fill up quickly when they come to town.

The only positive about this so called "RV Park" is the showers are new and very clean. But the water pressure is worse than in my RV!! If another person showers or the cloths washing machine is running the water pressure is even worse. As far as the 3 or 4 elect sites you may need an extension cord to reach the elect plug from where you park your rig. There are NO marked or labeled RV sites. Everything is on an unmarked gravel parking lot. But it is a place to stay if you are waiting for the ferry. If you happen to be here when a 20 to 30 rig caravan arrives you will be jammed in with them or told to leave. Since you are dry camping anyways, drive about 4 miles north on HWY 430 to an old gas station which burned down. There is a level parking area there almost as big as St. Barbe RV Park and it is free.

I don't know where the $30 camping fee others report comes from, but we paid the non resident fee listed on the reservations web site of $20 for 50 amp power and water. This is a very nice park with a choice of sites in the trees or about 12 sites on the edge of a very nice grassy field which is about the size of 4 football fields. We had to be a little careful driving between the tress on the CG roads but there wasn't any real tight spaces.

We stayed here for 15 days in a waterfront site with a nice view of the tidal basin. We really enjoyed our stay at this very quiet pretty park. The CG is well maintained, grass is cut and the gravel roads are in good condition. We would rate this CG an 8 if the sites were level and easier to get large rigs in and out of the sites. Having said that, there are a few large rig sites which have water views and many others that are surrounded by trees. There are also many tent sites or sites for small campers which have good water views. Almost all sites are well separated from the adjacent sites and provide good privacy. Be aware that there is: no water at camp sites, no elect and no sewer. No flush toilets. There is one central shower facility with good hot water. Showers are 25 cents for 5 minutes on the honor system. I would recommend this CG to anyone wanting a nice quiet pretty camping experience.

We stayed here in a 40' motorhome for $13 a night for two nights in site #60 with a very nice view of the water directly across from Mount Desert Island where Bar Harbor and Acadia NP are located. Be aware the sites are not level and most are surrounded by dense trees Sites 1, 2 & 3 are nice open sites big enough for large rigs. Note: there is no electric here and no dump station. There are water spigots some of which are accessible from your site to fill your water tank. This is the only alternative for larger rigs to stay in the Bar Harbor unless you want to spend an "arm and a leg" to stay in an "RV park" for from about $40 to more than $100 a night.

A very nice quiet CG away from the hustle and bustle of the high power and expensive "tourist" areas but yet close enough so you can take a day trip to Acadia NP and the Bar Harbor area. All the sites have a nice grassy area beside the RV pad. Tent sites are on nice grassy areas. Some of the tent sites have shade. The owner has lobster, clams or crabs available and will steam them free of charge if you like. Friendly and helpful owners on site.

Best kept secret in the Boston area. $17 a night, large quiet sites well separated from next door camper. Restrooms with showers. Subway to all of Boston area is about 15-20 minutes away (11 miles). Round trip fare to downtown Boston is $4 a person. Most RV parks in area seem to be $35-$50 and MUCH farther away from transportation to city. Downsides to CG: only 20 amp power, but I could operate one of my air conditioners if needed, or water heater, or microwave/convection oven, just not any two of them at once. No sewer, but there is a dump station. Water is accessible from some sites to fill up your RV's water tank. All sites are in the trees, only 1 or 2 of the sites will you be able to get satellite reception. Local TV reception is good. Our reason for staying here was to tour Boston.

We stayed 2 nights in the Lakeside camping loop. Nice sites with good views of the lake. This loop is a little tight for maneuvering 40' motorhomes with a toad, but can be done. There is another camping loop with FHU which is easily accessible for large rigs. The State Park is only about 2 miles from IH20, so is a good place to spend the night if you are passing through. In addition to the nightly rate of $20 there is a $3 per person entrance fee unless you have a Texas State Park pass. The campsites can be a little muddy if it is raining.

We spent a couple of months here in the winters off 2006/7 and 2007/8. The park is nice, the sites in the RV section area all pull-thru with plenty of space between sites and room for large rigs and two additional vehicles. Parking pads are not paved, but do have concrete patio with table. WiFi is available for about $25/month $15/week, but is very slow in the afternoon and evening when everyone is online. WiFi is accessible from just about every site. Pool is small and not heated. The RV park is convenient to most of San Antonio. There are loud train whistles at all times of day & night from a railroad/city street crossing about 1/4 mile away. The noise didn't bother us unless we had the window open at night. There are feral cats in the park which are fed by several of the long term RV'ers.

Very pretty, concrete paved sites with nice grass and trees surrounding the sites. The pool is very nice, large and clean. We think this is the nicest RV park in the San Antonio area. Three price levels for the RV sites. Cheapest for sites with about 15' from your front door to next site, mid price for about 20'-25' to next site and most expensive for 30' to 75' to next site. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This is probably the most expensive RV Park in San Antonio, but it is also the nicest. WiFi upgraded in fall of 2007, good access from most all sites. I believe we paid $30-35 a month for WiFi, not cheap but works pretty well for a RV Park WiFi.

The owners, Art & Ramona are very nice. When we arrived we discovered our refrigerator was broken. They took our frozen food and stored it in their home freezer for over three weeks while we went to Albuquerque to have a new refrigerator shipped in and installed. The RV park is nice and the office and restrooms are very new and nice, including good handicapped showers.

The RV park is pretty and well kept. Pool is very large, nice and heated. The main down side to the park is the tightness of the sites. When you open your slides and awning you are within a few feet of the RV next to you. CAUTION! Large rigs may have trouble turning into and turning out of the very tight concrete parking sites. You can see lots of scrape marks in the concrete made by the rear of RV's exiting the sites.
